Press release – 17th September 2025

Kincsem Park and Hungarian horse racing have reached yet another milestone!

Following a period of preparatory work, Kincsem Park has officially signed a contract with Total Performance Data (TPD) to launch their world-leading GPS tracking, live race graphics and automated race timing system at the racecourse.

TPD delivers pioneering horse racing products and fan engagement content worldwide by combining real time positional and speed data with rich visual race graphics, advanced data science and innovative design. The system enhances the racing experience for fans, bettors, broadcasters, and racing professionals, while the deal will also unlock new commercial and digital opportunities for Kincsem Park.

Globally, TPD services 5000+ annual racedays at 120 partner racetracks in 14 countries. They include prestigious events such as the Breeders’ Cup, Kentucky Derby, Saudi Cup, Dubai World Cup, Royal Ascot, Bahrain International Trophy and Deutsches Derby.

Since TPD was founded, the company  has maintained an exclusive partnership with GMAX Technology Ltd.  Designed and developed in Cambridge (UK), the agile GMAX Race System tracks all horses in a race and provides real-time data including speed, position, stride information, running order and race timing. On raceday, lightweight GPS trackers are assigned to each horse and securely fitted in saddlecloths by the raceday operator. The trackers then generate positional information ten times per second before, during, and after the race.

Data from the system is streamed in low latency to power TV graphics, on-track displays and in-race insights, meaning visitors to Kincsem Park will soon enjoy enhanced raceday content and information. The data can also be assessed post-race to deliver fresh insights and perspectives into horse performances.

As a result of this new partnership with TPD, the Hungarian horse racing industry not only undergoes further professional development but also provides its viewers and bettors with an informative, modern, and captivating sporting experience. The aim is for the system to be live at Kincsem Park later this year for both harness and thoroughbred racing.

Adam Moore, Director of Racing Partnerships at TPD says: ”Kincsem Park is a beautiful, welcoming and unique racecourse.  It serves as a proud symbol of Hungary’s rich horse racing past, where the iconic spirit of Kincsem will always live on.  At the same time, our new partnership annoucement represents the desire for new innovations, continual development, and the wider positive ambitions for the bright future of Hungarian racing. We couldn’t be more delighted to embark on this exciting journey with the great team at Kincsem Park!”
