TPD further expands global presence with deployment of GPS tracking and in-race graphics at Venezuela’s Hipódromo Internacional La Rinconada

Total Performance Data (TPD), the world’s leading provider of live horse racing data, has officially launched its GPS tracking, live race graphics, and automated race timing system at the iconic La Rinconada racecourse in Caracas, Venezuela.

Racing at La Rinconada is operated by the Instituto Nacional de Hipódromos where the technology is now in full raceday operation.  The new partnership makes La Rinconada the latest venue to benefit from TPD’s market-leading solution which combines precise real-time positioning with rich visual race graphics and accurate race timing. The system is proven worldwide to elevate the racing experience for spectators, bettors, broadcasters, and racing professionals, while the deal also unlocks new commercial, in-play betting and digital opportunities for the track.

Live tracking data and race graphics showcased during the prestigious Gran Premio Clásico Internacional Simón Bolívar (G1), won by Astuto and ridden by Juan Carlos Paolini for trainer Humberto Correia in October.

The latest deployment at La Rinconada adds to TPD’s growing global footprint, underscoring both the company’s commitment to providing unrivalled race data solutions and content worldwide, and the flexibility and scalability of the supporting raceday hardware.

Now present in 15 countries, La Rinconada joins a growing and elite group of over 120 international racecourses harnessing TPD’s technology. Venezuela is a member of the Caribbean Racing Confederation and South America’s OSAF, meaning the deal represents TPD’s second partnership in the Caribbean region, and its fifth in the wider South American region respectively.
